Zoo Targeted by Ticket Scam

The Great Plains Zoo (GPZ) is the latest target in a scam that has impacted zoo visitors nationwide this week.

Scammers are placing social media ads advertising zoo ticket packages that are 4 for $6.95.

Identical ads are showing up across the country, targeting Minnesota Zoo, Virginia Zoo, San Francisco Zoo, along with more than a dozen others.

GPZ urges the public to report these ads to the social platform if you see them – and to not give these scammers any of your personal or financial information. If you have already done so, reach out to your card issuer immediately.

GPZ and Butterfly House & Aquarium’s only current online offer is the Sea & Snow package, which includes tickets to both attractions for $21.50. Any deals on admission will always be published on the zoo website.
