Kids' Clinic

Located in the lobby of the Delbridge Museum of Natural History, the Kids’ Clinic play area provides hands-on opportunities for the Zoo’s youngest visitors.

Kids’ Clinic experiences include:

  • A Veterinarian’s clinic with an exam table, child-sized scrubs and lab coats, and medical instruments that will be used to examine animals.
  • A Zookeeper’s diet kitchen where children can sort and weigh food to feed the animals.
  • A Groundskeeper’s area where children can plant and water a flower garden or use a leaf blower to clean their space.
  • A maintenance area allowing children to don safety goggles and hard hats as they use a chainsaw to cut a tree trunk into pieces, and use hammers, wrenches, saws, and other equipment to fix, build, and become one of the Zoo’s maintenance crew members.
  • Love this zoo! Great place to get a walk in and the animals are everywhere! The museum/indoor part is very educational too. Has a lot of shade for when it's hot out. Very clean. Friendly staff.

  • A really great zoo featuring some exotic species and I liked the focus on conservancy/breeding to preserve species for the rhinos. The safari area's cheetah was awesome to see. During a week day going, it was quite open to walk around and enjoy without too much crowding.

  • The museum gives you a break from the sun on hot summer days and has a great selection of animal exhibits from around the world.  The zoo keeps growing and adding new animal habitats or improving existing ones.  Membership offers reciprocal benefits to other zoos around the country.
