Three cheers for El Nino, July’s Penguin of the Month!

El Nino is partners with Maya. While neither of them are gifted at incubating eggs, they are the biological parents of one-year-old Sammy (fostered by Pippa and Quince). He was born in 2013. His arm band color is pink.

El Nino is known for being a gentle, laid-back penguin. He likes to swim with his friends, and enjoys a “festive” nest. He and Maya like to bring everything they can to their nest box (toys, strips of mat, anything they can carry), and don’t necessarily like to share with the rest of the colony.
