  • Africa Zookeeper (Full-time/year-round)
    The Great Plains Zoo & Delbridge Museum of Natural History is seeking a full-time Africa Zookeeper.  Come and work with African Painted Dogs, Meerkats, Giraffes, Black Rhinos, Bongos,  Grevy's Zebra and more! Zookeepers are responsible for the specialized work involving the health and welfare of native and exotic animals through feeding, enclosure maintenance, behavioral observation and training, enrichment and healthcare maintenance and treatment.  Zookeepers at the Great Plains Zoo work with a variety of species across several different taxonomic classes on a daily basis.  This position open to internal & external candidates.  Position open until filled.  To apply fill out the application below.   • Animal Care Area Supervisor (Full-time/year-round)
    The Animal Care Area Supervisor oversees and manages animal care personnel, including staff, interns or volunteers involved in the husbandry care of the animals in their area of supervision. The Area Supervisor will ensure the animals are provided high quality animal care for their overall well-being. Modern zoological principles will guide the daily care, husbandry, training and enrichment, ensuring that we are able to meet the animals’ physical, mental and emotional needs.   • Animal Care Internship-Paid
    The Great Plains Zoo & Delbridge Museum is offering an opportunity for education and experience for tomorrow’s workforce. The Zoo has internship opportunities available to those interested in pursuing a career in Animal Care and Zoo Management. The intern program is designed to help applicants determine if a career with animals is right for you. It also offers valuable experience to those who are planning to apply to vet school or looking to pursue a job in the animal care field. You will learn, hands on, all the husbandry techniques that it takes to care for the animals at the zoo.   • Seasonal Educator
    Come join us this summer at the Great Plains Zoo as a Seasonal Educator!  This position assists in forwarding the Zoo's mission by engaging kids and teens in our two summer Educational programs.  You will be responsible for general day-to-day coordination and execution of ZooCamp in addition to the general day-to-day supervision of approximately 50 or more teenage participants of the Junior Zookeeper (JZK) Program. Click the position title to read the full job description.
  • Marketing Events Internship-Paid
    The Great Plains Zoo & Delbridge Museum is offering an opportunity for education and experience for tomorrow’s workforce. The Zoo has internship opportunities available to those interested in pursuing a career in event design, marketing, and social media.   • Seasonal Attractions Team Lead 
    Come join us for the spring, summer and into fall at the Great Plains Zoo as a Seasonal Attractions Team Lead! This position assists in achieving the Zoo's mission by acting as a daily contact and support resource for our Seasonal Attractions Team Members, and engaging our guests in various attractions and interactive animal exhibits.  You will be helping our Attractions team to create memorable experiences for our guests while monitoring and interpreting our Walkabout Australia kangaroo exhibit, Face-to-Face Farm, and providing an outstanding and safe experience on our Savannah Express Train Ride and Sanford Carousel.
