  • Greeting our visitors as they enter the Zoo and Museum.
  • Being a mascot, a Zoo docent, or an education program assistant.
  • Handling the Zoo’s education animals like the Ball Python or Striped Skunk.
  • Helping with special events like ZooBoo, Breakfast with Santa, and Zippity Zoo Day.
  • Delivering posters and flyers around the community.

To get involved in the Zoo’s Volunteer Program you must be at least 16 years old.  (Individuals age 12-15 may volunteer with a parent or legal guardian.)

  • Love this zoo! Great place to get a walk in and the animals are everywhere! The museum/indoor part is very educational too. Has a lot of shade for when it's hot out. Very clean. Friendly staff.

  • The museum gives you a break from the sun on hot summer days and has a great selection of animal exhibits from around the world. ¬†The zoo keeps growing and adding new animal habitats or improving existing ones. ¬†Membership offers reciprocal benefits to other zoos around the country.
