Zippity Zoo Day

Zippity Zoo Day, the Zoo’s annual summer children’s carnival, is a family-friendly event that includes exciting activities such as inflatable jumpers, face painting, carnival games, Zookeeper talks, musical entertainment and opportunities to get up-close to the Zoo’s animal ambassadors.

Date: Saturday, June 15
Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Cost: Event is free with Zoo admission.

Schedule of Events:

  •  Music from DJ Sieff, face painting, carnival games, inflatables, and food vendors throughout the event from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (Primate Lawn with inflatables at various locations across the Zoo)
  • Creature Features at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. (Zoo’s Plaza)
  • Zookeeper Chats 
    • Brown Bears at 11:30 a.m. (Fortress of the Bears Exhibit)
    • Singing Dogs at 3 p.m. (Singing Dogs Exhibit)
  • Bookworms Reading Program at 1 p.m. (KELOLAND Education Center)
  • Primate Animal Feeding at 2 p.m. (Primate Building)
  • Penguin Animal Feeding at 2:30 p.m. (Penguin Exhibit)
     
  • Love this zoo! Great place to get a walk in and the animals are everywhere! The museum/indoor part is very educational too. Has a lot of shade for when it's hot out. Very clean. Friendly staff.
